Naomi leads DLA Piper’s Litigation and Regulatory practice in Scotland and Chairs the firm’s global Space Exploration and Innovation practice.
Naomi’s expertise lies in complex commercial litigation and arbitration across wide-ranging sectors with most of her cases having an international element.
Recognised with various professional awards, including being recognised as Scotland’s “Lawyer of the Year” in 2021, Naomi has been featured in multiple UK-wide talent lists. She is consistently ranked in her area by legal directories Legal 500 and Chambers & Partners, and was notably featured in Law.com’s “top female lawyers under 40”. She was described in the Legal 500 as “one of the finest lawyers of her generation.”
Naomi advises a number of clients working in the space sector and regularly speaks and publishes insights relating to space law and policy. She has qualifications in space cyber security and space law and policy from Strathclyde business school and the International Space University and she sits on a number space and geo spatial data advisory boards. She recently spoke on an esteemed panel at Paris Space Week and she has written articles for a number of publications including the Scotsman newspaper and the Law Society of Scotland’s Journal magazine.
Outside of work, Naomi does a lot of CSR and pro bono work and is the proud mum of a boisterous four year old boy who shares his mum’s passion for space, aspiring to become an astronaut!
