Naomi Pryde is a Partner at DLA Piper, where she leads the firm’s Litigation & Arbitration team in Scotland and serves as Global Co-Chair of the firm’s Space Exploration and Innovation practice, which spans 90 offices across 40 countries. Naomi is the only known solicitor qualified in all four UK and Ireland jurisdictions. She is also a dual-qualified Solicitor Advocate in both Scotland and England & Wales, a Notary Public, and a Writer to His Majesty’s Signet. An award-winning lawyer, Naomi was named Scotland’s Lawyer of the Year in 2021. She has played a key role in landmark space law cases, including the judicial review challenge to the UK’s first spaceport. Naomi contributes to the development of sustainable space sector governance as an Honorary Fellow at Durham University’s Space Research Centre. She also sits on several space advisory boards and cross-party governmental working groups. With a truly international practice, Naomi is a Scottish Government-appointed Global Scot, helping to promote Scotland’s space and legal expertise worldwide.
