With a background in Astrophysics and a lifetime fascination with all things Space from both a business and academia perspective, Dr. Nicholas Ross holds a PhD in Astrophysics along with an LLM in Law (Space Law). With over 20 years of experience at the research-policy-industry interface across the global space sector – including working for the National Aeronautics and Space Administration as well as the Department of Energy in the USA, Nic offers a unique perspective on Space exploration, regulations and sustainability, bridging business and academia. His research background spans diverse topics including observational cosmology, international space law ethics and culminates in a particular focus on space sustainability and the long-term utilisation of our Solar System. With start-up experience forged in Silicon Valley, Nic is the Founder and CEO of Niparo – Scotland and the U.K’s, Sirst ethical space consultancy. Niparo works with clients across the value chain and in size ranging from sole-traders and SMEs through to world-leading universities and multinational Space Agencies.
