Prof Malcolm Macdonald

Speaker profile

Malcolm is distinguished through his role in shaping the future of the space sector, both nationally and internationally. He is the Director of the Centre for Signal and Image Processing (CeSIP), and of the Applied Space Technology Laboratory within CeSIP. He is a Visiting Professor at the Centre for Space Research at University College Dublin, and a Director of Weather Stream, a US-based weather analytics company deploying a proprietary constellation of spacecraft. He was a non-executive member of the UK Space Agency from 2017 – 2020, and is currently Vice-Chair of the Agency’s Space Technology Advisory Committee and a Specialist Advisor at the House of Commons.
