Peter currently works as a Senior Mechanical Engineer at AAC Clyde Space. He started his career in the space industry with a SPIN sponsored internship at Alba Orbital in 2014. During his time at Alba, Peter provided initial designs for both the pocket cube structure and the avionic board form factor. He concluded his work there with a poster presentation at the Reinvent Space Conference.
Peter graduated with an MEng in Mechanical Engineering from Strathclyde University and entered a graduate programme with Greene Tweed. He worked as an oil and gas, and aerospace Applications Engineer, before returning to the space industry in 2019. Peter has led the mechanical design of multiple subsystems and CubeSats as well as working in the technology development team to develop Clyde Space’s next generation of hardware. His time at AAC Clyde Space saw Peter shortlisted for Scottish Engineering’s Young Engineer of the Year Award 2023.
