Luca is the Geospatial Lead at Innovate UK Business Connect, with over a decade of experience at the intersection of Earth Observation, sustainable finance, and innovation aimed at tackling socio-economic and environmental challenges. A systems thinker by nature, he designs and leads cross-sector programmes that help organisations work collaboratively across disciplines, challenges, and knowledge gaps, harnessing the power of geospatial data and AI for inclusive growth and lasting impact.
He sits on the board of Space4Climate and contributes to international working groups, including the World Economic Forum Earth Observation Initiative and the UN Science-Policy-Business Forum’s Data for the Environment Alliance (DEAL).
Based in Leeds with his family, Luca enjoys jazz, skiing, and mentoring startups. He has just launched the GeoAI Festival and is always happy to connect with anyone interested.
