Joseph is director of the Space Skills Alliance, a think tank, consultancy, and backbone organisation addressing the UK’s space skills shortage. He has more than 10 years’ experience working in space education and skills and is the author of many articles and reports on skills, training, recruitment, and demographics in the UK space sector, as well as the Space Training Catalogue, a directory space training opportunities, and SpaceCRAFT, a space competencies framework. He previously founded SpaceCareers.uk, a leading space jobs website, and chaired UKSEDS, the national student space society. He was formerly a maths and programming teacher, and has worked in the education and social sectors, working with coalitions of businesses and charities to address educational inequality and accelerate the use of digital technology. He was named the 2022 UK Space Personality of the Year, won a Sir Arthur Clarke Awards for contributions to the space sector, and was recognised with a Point of Light Award by Prime Minister Theresa May.
