As Business Operations Manager at Skyrora Ltd, Derek deals with  import/export, property acquisition, logistics, STEM planning, Public Speaking, and sales. He has also taken up the position of CEO for Ecosene a sister company of Skyrora.

While his expertise extends beyond operations. His robust professional network fosters partnerships, collaborations, and opportunities. Derek uses his position and times as a speaker in the space industry as a chance to inspire audiences to embrace change and seize opportunities.

Outside his corporate role, Derek  recently took up the role as Honorary Lecturer for Business and Technology at New College Lanarkshire and serves as an Advisory Board Member at STEM The Violence, passionately supporting their projects towards inspiring local youth about STEM, to set them on a path away from knife and gang crime.
