Dato’ Kamarul Redzuan Muhamed, the founder and Group CEO of Uzma, is a distinguished leader in the energy and technology industry. With a strong educational background, including a Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines, United States of America and Master of Science in Geological Oceanography at Universiti Malaysia Terengganu, he brings a wealth of knowledge to his role. In addition to his achievements, Dato’ Kamarul was recently appointed as the Pro Tem President of Malaysian Space Industry Consortium (MASIC), further showcasing his industry expertise and leadership.
He actively contributes to various advisory panels, including Malaysia Petroleum Resources Corporation (MPRC), Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP), Universiti Malaysia Terengganu (UMT), and Asia Pacific University (APU) of Technology & Innovation. With nearly three decades of experience, he has held key positions in renowned companies such as Esso Production Malaysia, Smedvig Technologies, and Roxar. Under his leadership, Uzma has successfully developed and introduced various technologies aimed at enhancing client efficiency, including the Mobile Water Injection Unit (WIF), Ultra High Speed Pump (ESP), High Resolution Earth Observation (EO) Satellite UzmaSAT-1, Chemical Injection Enhanced Oil Recovery, and several others. Uzma also has evolved into a prominent energy and technology firm with operational hubs spanning Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, and the Philippines.
