Claire is a Senior Specialist Scientist at the Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA) where she leads the development of SEPA’s Earth observation capabilities. She has 17 years’ experience in Earth observation and her expertise includes optical modelling, radiative transfer physics, image/signal processing and algorithm development. In 2016 she was awarded a NERC Knowledge Exchange Fellowship based at Stirling University with the aim of developing satellite remote sensing as an official data resource used by water managers across the UK. Her current work focuses on enabling UK regulators to fully exploit the advantages that EO can offer for comprehensive environmental monitoring.
